Dominic Evans - A recruitment specialist with over 13 years’ experience. 

Dominic joined Eden Brown in London in 2002 with a strategic focus on recruiting high level professionals in the building industry. Later promoted to Director, he was responsible for the firm’s executive search activities, undertaking a number of top calibre retained searches across the engineering sector in the UK, Middle East and Australasia.

Following successes with a number of key clients, Dominic founded Talent Motion in 2009 and now delivers senior level assignments whilst overseeing the strategic growth of the consultancy.

Role Briefing

Talent Motion compiles detailed documentation which covers:

A) Company brief, including:
  • Your company history, board and management structures and past company performance.
  • Your company culture, business vision and USPs.
  • Your organisational strategy, team composition and hiring manager profile(s).
  • Your agreed on target organisations, geographical locations and interview process.
B) A comprehensive individual role brief, including:
  • Reporting structure, essential skills and qualities required.
  • The individual’s objectives and performance measurement.
  • Short, medium and long term career prospects.
  • Salary range, full benefits package and bonus scheme.

Candidate Sourcing Strategy

Once the brief is agreed:
  • We initiate intensive research to identify suitable individuals within your target organisations.
  • From this targeted research, comprehensive organograms are provided.
  • After discussing these organograms, the selected individuals are discreetly approached.

Interview and Short Listing

We approach prospective candidates as follows:

  • Against the role brief, in-depth motivational fit and behavioural screening of all candidates is undertaken by telephone before face-to-face interviewing begins.
  • All Talent Motion consultants are interview trained, enabling us to thoroughly grasp the needs and expertise of candidates. Our interview process is tailored to each specific assignment as agreed by you.
  • Upon completion of the full assessment process, a shortlist of suitable candidates is provided. Each candidate is supported by a detailed interview report highlighting strengths, weakness, successes, failures and their motivation for moving.  

Client Interviews and Follow Up Process

Once a short list has been agreed:
  • Talent Motion arranges client interviews with shortlisted candidates. If required, we can advise and assist in structuring an efficient and effective interview process. 
  • Talent Motion makes offers of employment and conducts package negotiations.
  • Throughout the duration of the assignment, we ensure that both the candidate and client are satisfied with the outcome by conducting service evaluation calls.

Open Days

The Open Days

Even in today’s challenging economic climate, competition to secure highly talented individuals remains aggressive. An Open Day is a proactive strategy enabling you to recruit several top grade UK candidates within a limited period. At a promotional event hosted by Talent Motion, we communicate with a sought-after few, highlighting why they should be working for your organisation. 

The marketing in the lead-up to the event publicises:
  • The factors differentiating your company from other organisations
  • The prospects for talented people within your business
  • Specific projects they are likely to be involved in
Talent Motion’s directors have delivered a number of very successful Open Days, representing clients operating in the UK, Middle East and Australasia.

The Process

  • Prior to the event, we compile a comprehensive brief on each of your role requirements and an overview of the benefits of working for your company.
  • Interview days are typically held in multi-regional locations, enabling us to maximise the talent pool.
  • The event is marketed online. The campaign includes the launch of a website specifically illustrating the event details, company overview, your USPs and current vacancies.
  • In tandem with the online activities, suitable individuals are directly approached and invited to attend.
  • All attendance is by appointment only, enabling us to screen candidates and allow you quality time with each pre-approved individual.
  • Each candidate is introduced to your hiring manager(s) and we provide a CV, an overview of their move motivations and their salary expectations.
  • Following first interviews, second interviews are arranged and offers are negotiated.
